Who we are
This website is run by C.H.L Landscaping Services Ltd (“C.H.L”, “we”, “us”). We are the data controller for any personal information you give us. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, contact us at chllandscapingservices@gmail.com or on 07935 762559.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us when you get in touch by phone, text, WhatsApp, email or through the enquiry form. This is usually:
- your name, phone number and email address
- the address or area where the work would be carried out
- details and photos of the job you would like doing
If you become a customer, we will also keep records of quotes, invoices and payments.
The enquiry form on our contact page does not store anything on this website. It simply opens your own email app with your message filled in, and you choose whether to send it.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange a visit and prepare a quote
- To carry out and manage work you have asked us to do
- To send invoices and keep the business records we are legally required to keep
Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing that contract, and complying with our legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting rules). We will never sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Who we share it with
We only share your information where we need to, for example with our accountant, our insurer if there is a claim, or suppliers delivering materials to your property. We may also have to share it if the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t go ahead are deleted within 12 months. Customer records, such as invoices, are kept for six years to meet tax and accounting requirements, then securely deleted.
Cookies and website data
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts are hosted on our own site, so no information is sent to third-party font services.
The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical information such as your IP address in order to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. You can read Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
If you contact us via WhatsApp or email, those services also process your messages under their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask for it to be transferred. To make a request, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please get in touch with us before contacting the ICO.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
