Garden clearance and new boundary fence

The old fence had come down and the back of the garden had been taken over by brambles, self-seeded shrubs and offcuts from an earlier job. The owners wanted a secure, tidy boundary they wouldn’t have to think about again.

We cleared the whole area and took everything away, then set out a new fence line of closeboard panels on slotted concrete posts with concrete gravel boards. A timber field gate on heavy posts finishes the run and gives easy access.

Porcelain patio in a back garden

A simple, clean patio in large-format light grey porcelain, set out square to the fence and trellis behind it. The area was dug out, given a compacted sub-base and laid level with an even fall for drainage.

Porcelain was the right call here: it stays bright, doesn’t stain easily and only needs a sweep and a wash to keep it looking like this.
